More Knits for Baby.

Any free time I've had recently (which isn't a whole lot, really) has been spent continuing to knit for baby.

I made these small longies from a skein of 3-ply purewool in the 'Heavenly' colorway.

Wanna hear something embarrassingly funny? I up-sized them as much as I could to get the most growth room, but in doing so, I didn't leave myself enough yarn for the drawstring -blush- I haven't yet decided if I'm going to pull something that will match from my scrap bag, or just go without. At this stage the drawstring isn't really necessary, so I'm leaning towards the 'skip-it' route.

After those, I moved on to try out a cocoon. It looks so long, but is actually only about 18" at the lower part in the front, so should fit baby nicely. Excuse my fold lines in the picture. I had these completed and stuffed in my bag for some time before getting a chance to take photos.

Next coming will be longies in the 'Quinn' colorway and I have to say, I'm excited! I've been holding on to that yarn for the last 3 or 4 years just waiting for a time that I could use it. This still may not be 'the time', but I just can't wait any longer to see it all knit up and in my stash!

LOVELY!! And I can't wait to show Jennifer the Cocoon. She's been wanting one to use for a photography prop for a while!
