Shorties for Bridget!

Bridget purchased the Custom Knit/Custom Dye spot that was offered at our annual March Spring Shortie Stocking. She chose Kimberly of Western Sky Knits as her dyer, with Kiahuna being the chosen colorway. I have to say, I *love* working with Kim! Her work is AMAZING, and Kiahuna is no exception!

Bridget asked for shorties that had coordinating green trim with ruffled cuffs. The finished product turned out beautifully!

Thanks for allowing me to work with you Bridget, I had a wonderful time! I hope you and your sweet girl enjoy these shorties as much as I enjoyed making them!

First Knits for Baby

I saved some of my favorite knits from Nathan's babyhood that could be passed to the next baby, but as any knitter (or wool loving, cloth diapering Mama) knows, it's nearly impossible to go without having some NEW knits as well!

Our first new pair of longies that will go into the "If baby is a girl" stash is the Woodland Fae colorway, by ZenString.

I'd purchased this colorway right before it entered the 'retired' vault, and have had it stashed away for more years than I care to admit (hush Sarah)! I'm thrilled to finally have it all knit up, and I think I'm even more in love with it now than I was before!

Now the question is, if this baby is a boy will Woodland Fae hide away in our 'someday' stash yet again, or will it flutter along to be worn by another Mama's little fairy princess? Only time will tell.......

Welcome!!

Welcome! Thanks for visiting Adventure Knit's new, improved, and consolidated blog! Cathy and I decided to merge our blogging efforts, so look forward to twice the knitting! Ha ha, not really ... we aren't as busy we were used to be in our "glory days," but we do still enjoy knitting, and we still love Adventure Knits! We plan to post pictures of our projects, news of upcoming sales, and pictures of the newest Adventure Knits poster babe (yes, singular ... only Cathy is expecting an AK baby this time ... for those of you who don't know, our last 4 AK poster babies are 4-years-old and 2-years-old, so I am breaking tradition here, sorry!)
